Hosted by Prof. Hitoshi Takizawa, César visited International Research Center for Medical Sciences in Kumamoto with an invitational fellowship from the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science. During this time he participated in many scientific activities and gave a talk at the Joint Meeting between JSPS and National University of Singapore "New Horizons in normal and malignant stem cell research"
